CALM BY THE TREE
Located on a farm outside the village of Flaxton, just 15 minutes from York. A quiet and peaceful setting.
Sleeps up to 2 people in either a king or two single beds. Each tent has bedlinen, log burner, lots of lighting and a fire pit. We provide on site showers and pot washing area with microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge with freezer compartment for guests to share – but no oven or hob. Guests should bring towels and cooking equipment. Animal experiences and infra red sauna coming in August.

This lovely 5 metre bell tent provides more than enough space for a couple or two friends sharing. The bed can be configured as a king or two single beds.
Powerbank provided to charge your phones and other devices and also has an inbuilt torch.
Each tent has a log burner, integrated kettle, high quality bedding and bedlinen, bedside tables, lots of lighting for a romantic/ relaxing stay. Touch side lamps, chandelier and fairy lights. Fire pit.
Showers and kitchenette with kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment – but no oven/ hob. (Use of infrared sauna at an additional cost from August).
Bring your own towels and cooking equipment. Parking is on nearby hard standing as we keep cars away from tents for guest safety and enjoyment.

Please call the hosts when you arrive and they will show you to your tent. Thank you.
Other things to note
A log burner is provided however guests are not permitted to cook inside the tent for their own safety.
Each tent has it’s own firepit and there is a communal BBQ. Firepits must be kept a minimum of 15 feet away from tents at all times as regulated by law.

- All footwear to be left on mat under awning, outside tent.
- Guests not to cook inside tent. Please do not place anything on top of/ adjacent to the log burner when hot as it may cause a fire. Please be careful where surfaces are hot.
- Fire pit to be kept a minimum of 15 feet away from tent – this is a legal requirement.
- Dog to be kept on lead at all times and all poo to be picked up, bagged, sealed and placed in large bin near toilet block.
- Sorry this is a no smoking/ vaping site.
- This is a working farm. Please do not try to enter fields other than the one you are staying in and do not touch machinery or equipment / climb on things, or enter any barns or sheds whether open sided areas or otherwise, as dangerous items including chemicals may be stored in them.
- Children and animals should be supervised at all times.
- There is a railway to one side of our property, please keep children and animals in site at all times.
- The owners/ operators accept no responsibility for loss, damage or theft to vehicles, property or personal items when on site.
